Frequently Asked Questions
Who can appear for NTSC?
Students of Class 6 to 10 from any National, International, or State board in India (except NIOS) are eligible. Stage 1 is open for all.
What is the NTSC exam fee?
Stage 1 costs ₹400 per candidate, inclusive of all taxes. Stage 2 is completely free for all Stage 1 qualifiers.
What scholarship does NTSC offer?
The top 25 students per class scoring above 75% in Stage 2 qualify for the scholarship program — ₹1,000 per month for 12 months. Top rankers in both stages also win cash awards and certificates.
Is the exam online or offline?
NTSC can be taken offline (pen-paper) at your school/coaching centre, or online in CBT mode. Stage 2 is held offline/online at selected centres, shared after Stage 1 results are announced.
When is the Stage 1 exam?
NTSC Stage 1 is scheduled for 24 January 2027 (Sunday). Free Pre-NTSC practice tests are also available on 20 Sept, 1 Nov, and 13 Dec 2026.
